This policy describes the information WrapCalc Solar processes through the public calculators, reference pages, contact requests, accounts, and Workspace.
Summary
The calculators run on values you type into the page. The site does not sell personal information. Account holders get access to Workspace features that store their own saved work. Operational records needed for security and reliability are kept to the minimum required and for no longer than necessary.
Information you provide directly
- Contact messages: name, email address, and message content, used only to respond and to track the reported issue.
- Account registration: email address and password credentials, used for sign-in, verification, and password recovery.
- Workspace content: saved assumptions, notes, and reports you choose to store. This content belongs to you and is never published or shared.
Information processed automatically
- Calculator inputs are processed in your browser and on the server only to produce the requested result. They are not linked to your identity unless you explicitly save them to the Workspace.
- Server logs record standard technical data such as request time, requested page, and coarse error diagnostics for security monitoring and troubleshooting.
- If analytics or advertising tools are enabled in the future, this policy will be updated first to name them, describe their cookies, and explain opt-out.
Cookies
The site uses strictly necessary cookies for sign-in sessions, security tokens, and remembering basic display preferences. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies are set by the site itself.
How information is used and shared
Information is used to operate the calculators, respond to contact requests, maintain accounts, prevent abuse, and improve reliability. It is not sold, rented, or shared with third parties for their marketing. Disclosure happens only where required by law or strictly necessary to provide the requested service, such as hosting infrastructure that stores data on our behalf under confidentiality obligations.
Retention
Contact messages are retained while the reported issue is open and for a reasonable period afterward for quality records. Account and Workspace data persist until you delete them or close the account. Server logs rotate on a short cycle and are kept only as long as needed for security and diagnostics.
Your rights and choices
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and you may close your account at any time, subject to record-keeping required by law. Workspace content can be deleted by you directly at any time. Contact the site.
Children
The site is a reference for adults researching or specifying solar. It is not directed at children, and accounts for children are not permitted.
Changes to this policy
Material changes will be reflected in the revision date below. Continued use of the site after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
